WARRANTY POLICY

Please note that this policy is subject to change without notice.  The latest Warranty information will be posted here and customers should refer to this page for the latest and current warranty policy.

General

• All warranties are subject to our fair usage, see below.
• All warranties are dependent on strict adherence to the maintenance schedule of the vehicles, use of EWIZZ approved components and fitting and servicing by EWIZZ trained or approved personnel.
• All warranties offered in addition to those below are still subject to the provisions and exclusions of the warrantee policy and must be confirmed in writing from EWIZZ. Claims of verbal warranty offers will not be accepted.
• EWIZZ does not offer any insurance of any kind on any items sold unless specifically stated.

Fair usage

• EWIZZ reserves the right to cancel any, and all, warranties including, but not excluding, :
  • use outside normal and reasonable road usage ( e.g. usage off public road, racing, etc).
  • incorrect fitting, configuration and usage outside component parameters.
  • Failures due to:
    • including and not limited to, theft, accident damage, misuse, off road usage, severe weather, acts of god, force majeure, wars, temperature, etc.
    • and any other reason EWIZZ considers to be unreasonable usage or events outside of EWIZZ control.
  • Any other possibilities that would reasonably be considered out of the scope of the components or vehicles as advertised.

Accidents and repairs

• Accident damage is not covered by the warranty and can, in some cases, invalidate it. Insurance of the vehicles is the responsibility of the owner or operator, as with any fleet.
• For most repairs, spare parts are couriered to you and fitted by a local motorcycle mechanic, supported remotely by EWIZZ through our EWIZZ LIVE system. In exceptional cases a vehicle can be couriered back to EWIZZ for a factory-style repair.

Vehicle warranty

• Our basic vehicle warranty is 3 years​ or 30,000 km, whichever comes first, from date of delivery for failures and defects in manufacture.  Please note that some components are 1 yrs, 10,000 km, see below for component warranty.
• Our vehicle warranty covers all the parts on the motorcycle except the batteries, which have a separate warranty, see below, and service and maintenance items including, but not limited to, brakes and tyres, suspension, bushes, bearings etc.

Battery warranty

Please note

• The battery warranty is “Pro rata” and provides a discount against the purchase and installation of new batteries only from EWIZZ based on a sliding scale of usage and age.
• The battery warranty runs to the years or the km limit, whichever comes first. For the SPARK and BUZZ N49 models the kilometres are unlimited, so the battery warranty runs for the full 5 years regardless of distance travelled.
• Battery care and handling: the battery warranty excludes any damage from mishandling or misuse, for example dropping, impact, immersion or water ingress, exposure to temperatures outside the rated operating range, or opening, modifying or tampering with the pack.
• Charging or discharging the battery with any equipment not approved by EWIZZ will void the warranty. This includes non-EWIZZ chargers and rapid or fast charging systems: EWIZZ chargers use a CANbus protocol between the battery and charger to control charger output and follow prescribed charging profiles.
• The charger must be plugged into a correctly wired and earthed mains supply. Damage caused by connecting to an unsafe, faulty or incorrectly wired supply, including incorrect or missing earthing, is not covered by the warranty and remains the responsibility of the site owner.

Component warranty

• Main electrical components, excluding batteries, are warranted for a period of 3 years / 30,000 km.
• Other components, excluding consumables and normal Service and Maintenance items, are warranted for a period of 1 years / 10,000 km.
  
• Shipping and fitting costs are payable by the customer at the discretion of EWIZZ.
• The warranty expires when either the years or km allocation limit is reached.
